purple passion poolside

last saturday was a afternoon at poolside with lots of purple and magenta. the setting was rustic and nastalgic; against the stone landscaping and water color from the pool, the hues of purple cast a coolness to the warm afternoon. flowers used in the arrangements were mums, pom, snapdragons, eryngium, and minature carnations. the bouquet had a vintage crystal pin on it for embellishment. Simple, fun, classic, whimsical....
on another note, keep an eye out for my diy workshops at the paisley umbrella in buckhead. i'm also working on a location in north georgia as well...more to come on that!!

pretty in pink

there is something special about pink flowers; they're pretty, soft, and very girly. saturday i styled florals for a bridal shower at the brumby house and gardens in marrietta. the bride was stunning...her shoes were the rage...and i was so honored to be part of the event. the arrangements included tea roses, spray roses, pom poms, cymbidium and dendrobium orchids in a variety of pastel colors, but mostly pink. thank you maria!!
